Why we created NextGen Academy

We learned how to serve US clients from Macedonia. Now we teach the process.

When we entered the US market in 2019, we already understood accounting. What we didn’t have was a clear explanation of the tools US firms use, how the work is organized, what clients expect, or how to earn their trust from another country.
We learned those lessons by building Books at Ease, our bookkeeping company for US businesses, and NextGen Company, which provides trained accounting talent to US accounting firms. NextGen Academy brings that experience together in a practical learning path for accountants who want to enter the same market.

Learn how to do the work. Then learn how to find work.

Student feedback

Clear enough to follow. Practical enough to use.

Accountants value the course because it shows them how US bookkeeping is actually handled inside QBO, not only what the terminology means.
The course covers exactly what you need to start working with U.S. clients. Learning how U.S. bookkeeping is structured was extremely useful, and I appreciated the clear guidance throughout.
Sonja IgnjatovskaAccountant
This was the first time I took a course with practical examples in QBO. Theory without practical knowledge is worthless — this is what I liked the most. I highly recommend Ana as a mentor.
Andrijana DenkovskaAccountant
Before this course I had many uncertainties about how this profession works in the U.S. The course clarified the entire process. I’m very satisfied with the methodology.
Suzana StoilkovaAccountant
After completing the training, one participant added bookkeeping for two existing clients and earned more from those accounts than from her previous full-time role.
Student outcome
One student booked four US sales calls while still employed full-time, using the positioning and outreach process from the workshop.

Simplify your goal. Get the first client.

Your first US client gives you more than additional income. It gives you experience with a US company, a workflow you can repeat, a result you can talk about, and greater credibility when approaching the next client. That is the milestone our courses are built around.

Common questions

Is this the right next step for you?

Yes. The course is designed for people who already have an accounting or bookkeeping foundation but are new to QuickBooks Online and the US market. Prior US experience is not required.
The course assumes you understand basic accounting concepts such as debits and credits, financial statements, and reconciliations. If you are completely new to accounting, you may need foundational training first.
No. QuickBooks Online Accountant is free to open. Our free tutorial shows you how to create your account and begin exploring the platform.
The bookkeeping course focuses on performing the work. Client positioning, LinkedIn outreach, sales conversations, and follow-up are covered separately in the Find Your First US Clients workshop.
The core course contains 23 lessons and approximately 4.5 hours of material. It is self-paced, and you retain lifetime access.
No course can guarantee that. We give you the bookkeeping knowledge, practical workflow, and client acquisition process. Your result will depend on how consistently you practice and apply them.
